Latest World Cup odds for Belgium
Belgium eased through their qualifying group by winning eight of their ten games and drawing the other two. This was a solid achievement given the group contained the likes of Serbia and Croatia, both of which had previously qualified for the 2010 World Cup.
The squad is clearly packed full of talent with the likes of Hazard, Kompany, and Lukaku, and Belgium should go well in the World Cup. They have been drawn in one of the easier groups, Group H alongside Russia, Japan and Algeria, and it’s not surprising that Belgium are the 8/11 favourites to win the group with Coral.
With so much talent on display the top Belgian scorer is an interesting market from a betting perspective. Lukaku is the favourite at best odds 9/4 with Betfred, and given his scoring record at International Level (9 in 31) we think this is a good bet. Hazard had a great season and is the 2nd favourite at odds of 11/2 with Sky Bet, but his international scoring record is nowhere near as good as it is for Chelsea. For those looking for an outsider in this market, Kompany scored twice in qualifying, and at 50/1 with Ladbrokes is a cracking each-way bet.
