Switzerland come into this World Cup with every right to think of themselves as favourites to win their group, which consists of France, Ecuador and Honduras. They were the only side to finish top in qualifying in the qualifying group and finished 7 points clear of their nearest rivals Iceland – and at the minimum will be expecting to qualify from Group E. France managed to finish second in their qualifying group – only to Spain it has to be said – and managed to scrape into the tournament through a tight playoff against Ukraine. Ecuador finished fourth in the South American group and Honduras finished above Mexico and in third place in the fourth round of the CONCACAF qualification.
Group E odds and tips

France, despite their recent tournament troubles, have some of the best players in the World among their ranks, such as Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema, and are 1.2 to qualify from Group E at Bet365. Ecuador are another side more than capable of taking points from their group games and have Antonio Valencia and Felipe Caicedo to call upon. Ecuador are 2.05 to qualify at Ladbrokes.
